Miss Jen began dancing at the age of 8 at a local studio in Irwin. By the age of 11, she was chosen to be on a competition line. She attended many competitions in places such as Charleston, WV, Myrtle Beach, and Orlando, winning many awards over the years. By the age of 16, Miss Jen began teaching. She has taught ages ranging from 20 months to 86 years. She has also choreographed for Greensburg Civic Theatre, Norwin Chorus, Norwin Middle School East Theatre club, and Norwin High School Show Choir. She has performed and/or competed in Canada, the Harrisburg Capital Building, and at the Washington Monument. Her musical credits include; Anything Goes (Purity), Crazy for You (Louise,), and Bye Bye Birdie (Kim). Miss Jen is a Norwin Show Choir and Chorus Alum.  Yes, she can sing too!  She even won a karaoke contest in December 2005!  She was also a member of Steel City Angels dance troupe for a year. Performing arts has always been her passion with dance being her 1st love. She also has obtained Cecchetti 1&2 certification and has participated in many local dance conventions. She has taken classes from such well known choreographers as Bob Rizzo, Sam Renzetti (of Xtreme Dance Force), and Jeff Shade, to name a few.  In June of 2009, Miss Jen was able to add another credit  to her resume.  She became a certified Zumba instructor under the direction of Ms. Maria Browning.  Miss Jen also judged for the Yough Dance Team several years ago.  Most recently, she was part of the Gotta Dance Hip Hop Team on board the Monarch of the Seas.  She also was awarded Miss Biceps 2010 .  Prior to opening her own studio, Miss Jen taught at another studio for 6 years. With much hard work and determination, at the age of 22, Miss Jen was able to achieve her ultimate goal and follow her dreams...

In August 2003, Dancin J’s Studio was born!



Miss Mia began her dancing career at the young age of 5. It was love at first step. When she was 8 she was chosen to be on a competition line. She has competed all over the country including; Las Vegas, Florida, New Jersey and Myrtle Beach. Miss Mia has won many awards while competing including a First Place Overall for her jazz solo. Miss Mia still competes with Dancin J's and in 2007 was chosen to perform on a National Performance Team in Wildwood, NJ for their National Competition. Aside from the studio dancing Miss Mia was a member of her college dance team. She was on of the founding members and also Captain while on the La Roche Competition Team. While on the team Miss Mia and the team won many awards including State Championships for Jazz and Hip Hop. Miss Mia continues her passion for dance at Dancin J's and hopes to inspire and teach new dancers at Dancin J's for many years to come.



Miss Kelly began dancing at the age of 2.  Throughout the years, Kelly grew a strong love for dance.   At the age of 15, she preformed in her first professional ballet with The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker.  By the age of 16, she pasted the Cecchetti Method of Ballet grade V exam.   Kelly competed on the state and national level threw the Dance Masters America Chapter 10 winning multiple platinum awards.  In 2006, she traveled with her dance studio to Las Vegas to compete in the Dance Masters of America Grand National Championship winning 2nd place and Grand National Champs. As a senior in high school, she taught tap and ballet at the dance studio she attended, while also choreographing routines for her school’s cheerleading squad as captain.  Since high school, she has continued her dance career at Seton Hill University.  Kelly is excited to teach dance again and share her love and passion for dance with others.



Melissa began her dancing career at age four—developing a love for it from the start. By age eight, she was competing at both the Regional and National level in Ohio, West Virginia, Myrtle Beach and Florida. She has performed in several group, production and solo numbers bringing home countless awards. At the age of eleven, Melissa began cheering for the Norwin Knights where she was named Captain of the cheerleaders for the Middle School, Freshmen and Varsity Squads. She also competed at the Regional and State levels bringing home several regional and state titles with her squad as well as individually with her stunt group. She then moved on to be a member of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Dance Explosion team where she choreographed and performed many routines. She graduated college in 2007 and is now honored to teach at her cousin, Miss Jen’s studio as a certified Aerobic/Zumba instructor when not working her full time job. Melissa is excited to be a part of Dancin J’s Staff—something both her and Miss Jen have dreamed about since they’ve been little girls. From Grandma’s backyard and the competitive stages that made Miss Jen and Melissa’s dreams come true to Miss Jen’s studio helping others dreams come true…



Miss Gabriellla joined Dancin J's Studio in 2006. She began dancing as a young child and attended her first competition at age 14. Now 17 years old, Miss Gabby is realizing that dance has become her passion. She has competed at the regional and national levels, receiving various awards, including the prestigious Diamond Award at the 2009 Regional Competition. Her future plans include attending Robert Morris University this fall, where she will major in Advertising, and minor in Psychology and Spanish. N o matter what, Miss Gabby will always be dancing & hopes to join the dance team at RMU! She assists Miss Jen with teaching the Mini Hip Hop Class.



Miss Jillian joined Dancin J's Studio in the fall of 2007. Prior to Dancin J's, she danced at another studio for 10 years. Miss Jill has participated in several dance competitions since joining the studio, including Nationals in Wildwood, NJ. She was also one of the dancers chosen to perform on the Wildwood Boardwalk stage. Along with her fellow dancers, Miss Jill recieved a Platinum award & First Overall for Hip Hop at Regionals in 2009. Outside of the studio, Miss Jill is involved with the tennis and track teams at Penn Trafford High School. We are very pleased to welcome her to our teaching staff this year, as she assists Miss Jen with the Teenie Weenies and Hip Hop Babies.
