2011 Recital
News!
The recital
has officially been scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2011. Mandatory
dress rehearsal will take place on June 17. The festivities will
take place at Norwin Middle School. Dress rehearsal will begin
promptly at 6:00pm. Please plan on arriving early to warm up and
stretch your legs. The recital will begin at 3:00pm sharp.
Please be there by 2:15pm to warm up and get ready for the opening number
in which the entire studio will perform.
Everyone is
required to put down a $30 deposit on costumes for each class
you are enrolled in. This is non-refundable.
The deposit will go towards the cost of the costumes. Deposits
must be made by December 15. Balances must be paid by
February 15. You will not receive your costume
until your balance is zero. Costumes will be ordered during our
Christmas/New Years break. This is to ensure adequate
time for delivery, and in case alterations are needed. Once
costumes are ordered, they cannot be returned. Most costume
companies make costumes per order and do not have them pre-fabricated
in a warehouse. They WILL NOT accept returns. We
are already beginning to select costumes, & pictures will soon be
posted at the studio.
All students
will also be learning the opening number for the recital. The
costumes for the opening will be simple and inexpensive (usually between
$15-$30) therefore, we do not require a deposit on this one. Each
group will learn a short routine for different sections of the song,
then finish off the routine with the whole studio dancing together.
No student
will be permitted to dance in the recital unless the bottom portion
of this sheet is signed by a parent/guardian. Please return as
soon as possible!
Thank you!
-Miss Jen
